Jackie HuitinkGet to know your therapist!
I’m Jackie, an energy healer, and certified yoga instructor and I’m so happy to provide you with alternative tools in your self-care journey. My practice is diverse with an emphasis on conscious movement and breathing, restorative yoga, hands-on energy healing, and mindful meditation. My goal is to spread the love, joy, and peace that yoga has brought to me, to give students tools to maneuver through the daily grind of life and to help you heal through moving meditation.
I started practicing yoga in April of 2013 and within 6 months, knew I wanted to be a teacher. In May 2015 I took a 7-week leave of absence from my scientist position at a Bay Area biotech company to travel to Ubud, Bali where I completed my yoga certification. During my training with Linda Mandani and immersion in Balinese culture, I learned Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, an active, movement-based yoga style, as well as an ancient Balinese healing practice called Pranala. Along with my self-studies and studies in Bali, I have also trained with the world-renowned yoga teacher, Judith Hanson Lasater, diving deeply into the art of relaxation through restorative yoga and conscious breathing.
My path as a healer has been life-long as I have navigated the unique circumstances of life to understand how I can be of benefit and of service to as many people as possible. As a healer, I use my skills in restorative yoga, meditation, and hands-on healing to help guide your mind and body into a deep state of rest to help you facilitate healing on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Through my training with Reiki master, Christopher Tellez, I have learned to channel the unconditionally loving energy of our Universe through my hands. During each healing session, you will be guided into deep rest while you receive the gentle hands-on touch of Reiki energy healing, crystal healing, and aromatherapy.
I am happy to work with anyone who is seeking more tools in their journey of self-care and healing who may want an alternative to talk therapy. I have worked with clients with brain injuries, severe back pain, severe anxiety, depression, addiction, and eating disorders. I am highly qualified to work with youth and young adults through my own experience as the eldest child in a Brady Bunch family of 7 kids, my respite work with Autistic children and children with Down Syndrome, and my work as a mentor and Big Sister in the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Bay Area.
I look forward to meeting you and working with your unique healing needs.
