There are so many articles and studies about screen time’s effect on children, but when was the last time every member of your family stopped to think about how each of you can have a better relationship with technology? With everyone on the same page, you can hold each other accountable, making it much more realistic to follow through with your new boundaries.

Life can be so unpredictable. If, for whatever reason, you need to hop on your phone during a tech-free window of your day, take a moment to check with those around you. Most likely they won’t mind at all, but the courtesy of asking first will reinforce the idea that your priority is time with people over time with your phone.

Most importantly, test out multiple methods to find what works best for you. There is no need to put pressure on yourself to do “better”. You are exactly enough as you are.
